Dr Julian Commons is 'the big boss' in charge of stacking up the figures and buying the doughnuts. With a background in working to improve our communities Julian brings a wealth of information and structure to the team.

Station Manager Andy Mortimore or 'Morts' has just joined the team. A slight change from his old position as watch manager of an operational watch based out of Tolvaddon. His years of fire and health and safety experience will ensure you and your teams get the correct level of training
Katie Rollason
Operations Manager
Katie joined the team as a Phoenix instructor before 'coming inside' to help build a website
Katie runs the day to day operation of Phoenix Sevices.
Ian Laurie
Senior Instructor
Ian has been managing our delivery team for the last two years and he worked as a Phoenix Instructor prior to that. His impeccable attention to detail combined with his ability to relate to a large demographic of clients mean he is a key member of our team. Ian is also an on call watch manager at Falmouth Community Fire Station and has been with CFRS for over 18 years.
Tony McGuire
Phoenix Instructor
Tony has been working with Phoenix for many years, before taking up his full time instructor role he volunteered for the project.
With a delivery style like no one else Tony imparts knowledge to his clients in a way that means they remember all the facts but also have a smile on their face.
Tony is also an on call Fire Fighter at Falmouth Community Fire Station and has been with the service for over 16 years
Jody Butterly
Phoenix Instructor
Jody joined Cornwall Fire and Rescue in 2003. She started working in headquarters followed by training. She was seconded to the Phoenix Project in 2004 and has been working on Phoenix ever since. She is the font of knowledge for all things Phoenix Community Engagement.
Jody has an amazing ability to empathise with our clients and as such helps those who come onto our programmes to feel comfortable and achieve their full potential.
Samantha Spooner
Princes Trust Team Leader
Sammy joined the team as a Phoenix Instructor before moving across to run our Prince's Trust Team Programme.
Our no nonsense northern lass keeps the team in order whilst delivering incredible results.
Give Sam a task and she will complete it to the best of her ability, this is something she passes on to the young people she works with and their results post team reflect her attitude and dedication to her role.
Andrew House
Princes Trust Team Leader
Andy also joined the team as a Phoenix Instructor however he quickly found his niche as our first Princes Trust Team Leader.
Andy helped to develop the programme and many young people in Cornwall have Andy's passionate approach to his team delivery to thank as a contributing factor to their current success.
Once you join Andy's team their is no escaping, he will offer lifts to participants struggling to be able to attend and will always go out of his way to make sure everyone on his team is given the best chance to succeed.
Sam Moore
Senior Coordination Officer
Sam is organised, effective and keeps everything behind the scenes running smoothly.
If you work with us then Sam will take charge of all your invoicing and make sure you have an excellent customer experience.
We are very lucky to have somebody as brilliant as Sam and I am sure you will agree when you speak with her!

Lauren has just joined our team after finishing her apprenticeship with the support team for Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service.
